Doug Balog is a Real Estate Professional with over 30 years of practical business experience specializing in marketing real estate. Doug's real estate experience includes over 10 years in land development, commercial and industrial real estate with D.A. Balog & Associates Ltd., a company he founded and sold in 1986.

In 1986, Doug continued his residential real estate career of the late 1960's as founding partner and General Manager of a multi-office residential RE/MAX real estate franchise in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In less than 2 years under Doug's leadership he assisted owner/partners of the franchise to become the #1 ranked real estate company for the local Board of Realtors. In 1988, Doug sold his interest in RE/MAX and moved to Orange County, California as Executive Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer and one of the major shareholders of NRS National Real Estate Service. Doug was responsible for the United States division opening over 400 franchise real estate offices including the acquisition of Red Carpet Real Estate and Gallery of Homes. The company was sold in 1994.

Doug took a sabbatical from the real estate industry in 1994 to become co-founder of NIHA National In-Line Hockey Association, the national organizing body for amateur roller hockey for the USA, Canada, Japan, Europe and South America. NIHA was sold to the USA Hockey and Canadian Hockey associations in 1996.

Doug has invested time towards the betterment of the real estate industry chairing Political Affairs, Arbitration, Intergovernmental, Past President committees and elected as President to a Board of Realtors. Doug has been a member of several Boards of Directors for private and public companies.

Sales achievements include membership in the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, RE/MAX Chairman's Club, RE/MAX Platinum Club, RE/MAX 100% Club and RE/MAX Executive Club. The real estate industry board of realtors have ranked Doug in the top 1% for total sales in local boards, Desert Sun 'Who's Who in Real Estate' Diamond Award Winner (annual sales over $25 million), RE/MAX Top Team member. In Canada, Doug was ranked #1 in total sales for two consecutive years of a 3,000 member board of Realtors and #1 in Western Canada for a national residential real estate firm. Recognized by SIC in the 1996 edition of 'International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs.'

Following the sale of his company, Doug moved to the Palm Springs area residing in Palm Desert and more recent, Rancho Mirage. Doug made this move his opportunity to return to his lifetime passion to assist Buyers and Sellers with their residential real estate needs, while enjoying the desert lifestyle.

In 1999 Doug formed Team Balog consisting of a Buyer's Agent, Listing/Seller's Agent, New Construction Agent, Marketing and Advertising Coordinator, Transaction/Administrative Coordinator and an Open House team to add value to the service the Team provides Buyers and Sellers.

Hobbies include riding his Harley Davidson, in-line skating, biking, hiking, running and traveling.
